What if you could view cultural artifacts up close in your own virtual study room? This was the starting point for The Talking Museum, an interactive online experiment by Google Arts & Culture Lab artist in residence Lex Fefegha.

Explore over 190 cultural artifacts from Google Arts & Culture partners, spanning prehistoric times to the present day. Uncover the history of each artifact by listening to audio commentary with the help of Gemini, ask questions as you explore and zoom or rotate each piece in full 360 degrees.

How it works
- Browse artifacts by size, material, or era.
- Select a cultural artifact and bring it into a virtual study room.
- With the help of Gemini, ask questions to learn about cultural artifacts from Prehistoric to Medieval various time periods.
- Zoom into an object to explore its unique details.
- Look for hotspots on select pieces to unlock unique points of interest and ask specific questions about those details
